He is Risen

easter morning

on our way to church

i have always loved easter, the newness it brings about, the warmer weather, the sunshine, the pretty dresses, and most importantly what we are celebrating. but this year it meant so much more. i looked at things differently, well actually i look at everything differently now. but this year as i sat in the church i was raised and looked up at the picture of jesus, tears filled my eyes. this year i was truly thankful for HIM and what he did for us. because of him, i can, with 100% certainty, know that our little boy is in the most wonderful place.......and even better, that one day i will see him again. thank you jesus for making the ultimate sacrifice.

we had such a special easter with my family in arkadelphia. sallie loved hunting for eggs from the easter bunny and found lots of candy easter morning that he left behind. (rich's family grew up finding candy scattered throughout the house, so sallie thought it was pretty neat that the eb left a jelly bean on every key of my parents piano) if you ask her, that is the first thing she mentions. our hunt did take a little longer than expected, simply because she had to open every single egg to find out what surprise was inside, so cute.

lunch at the lodge after church with the westbergs and the easter bunny.....this
easter bunny is a bit frightening to me, but sallie seem to like him (her) really well and wasn't scared at all. i did have to make a mad dash with sallie on my hip as we were leaving, didn't really want her to see the easter bunny sitting down eating mashed potatoes and gravy, yikes.....aren't they supposed to like carrots?

stephanie, sallie and sierra (sierra was the flower girl in our wedding and look how big she is now)

That stained glass at the front of the church is one of my favorites!
