getting measured
i found this adorable ceramic cupcake at the party house here in fayetteville.....you put it out at the breakfast table birthday morning and then later in the day it is hidden somewhere with a special treat inside. i thought it would be a fun little tradition to start.
wow! i seriously can't believe our little girl is three years old. and i really think in just the past few days she has turned "big". she is acting big and talking "big". we serenated her as soon as she woke up and this was the first year she had an idea of what the day meant and i really think she felt special.
we started off the morning with a measurement. i had kinda been forgetting to do this but decided we would start measuring on the wall in her room each birthday. her birthday just happened to fall on a wednesday when i am off, so we got to play the entire day. :-)
we started out running a few errands for her big party on saturday, tried out a gymnastics class at the gym where i worked while in college), picked out cupcakes at ricks, and then took a very short nap....she must have been pretty excited!! we then picked up daddy and headed to build a bear. it was her very first time and i think we were a little more excited than she was. topped off the evening with candy, a little mac n cheese and headed home. sallie was so happy all day long which made it super fun!
